I don't think there's meant to be any difference in that rule. FAE (correctly) forbids "stacking a bunch of fate points on an aspect" but is silent on multiply free invoking.

IMO, the Core rule stands (though any table can of course rule differently). Multiple free invocations honor the on-camera importance of the aspect (proven by how much time and success was spent creating it and earning those free invocations).

The Fae version is as simple or as complex as your audience. If you think the group is old enough to comprehend the core version, go with that. Or let them pick. There aren't many Fate rules lawyers, it's not a system that generally appeals to them

Isn't that FAE is Fate Core? I believe it is an official statement, and it means all things in FC are valid in FAE unless they don't have a sense (like skill-based stunts because there is no skills)

I don't run it that way. But even if someone did run it that way, the game still works...in some contexts it might even run better (less spikey).

Seems like a non-issue to me either way as long as the narrative is being forwarded and people are having fun.

I think the best assumption is that FAE (as a subset of core) is identical unless it explicitly says otherwise. Mostly things like that are elided to make FAE fit in the space available or to simplify.

So, there's no official clarification on that, unfortunately. But a lot of readings that it should work that way (which I agree with, fwiw).

Wherever there's a contradiction between Core and Accelerated, assume it's an error due to oversimplification. Accelerated is simply a hack within Fate Core.

While the genera advice here is good, the RAW are pretty clear, too.

In the part about invoking aspects:
"You can only invoke any aspect once on a given dice roll; you can’t spend a stack of fate points on one aspect and get a huge bonus from it." (Emphasis mine)

And under the CA action:
" If you succeed with style: You create or discover the aspect, and you or an ally may invoke it twice for free. Usually you can’t invoke the same aspect twice on the same roll, but this is an exception; success with style gives you a BIG advantage!"

I didn't look under CaA... that is a clear statement of the Core rule that free invocations stack.
